Bret Stephens is a New York columnist. He won a Pulitzer Prize for commentary at The Wall Street Journal in 2013, was previously editor in chief of The Jerusalem Post, and is known for his sharp, contrarian takes. He is the author of America in Retreat: The New Isolationism and the Coming Global Disorder" (2014).
